For every public vote cast out of the 15 National Parks shortlisted Gala Bingo will make a 50p donation up to the value of £3,000 to The Mayhew Animal Home in Trenmar Gardens.

Blue singer and Hollyoaks actor Duncan James launched the campaign this week on the South Downs National Park where he was joined by nine-year-old Tallula who is in the care of the Mayhew.

The blind Shih Tzu, who had her eyes removed after developing severe ulcers, is waiting for her third home.

Caroline Yates, The Mayhew’s chief executive officer, said: ‘We are delighted to partner with Gala Bingo for their UK’s favourite dog walk campaign. Every vote counts and will help us help more animals like Tallula find new forever homes.”

Karina Adrian, PR & brand partnership manager at Gala Bingo, added: “We’re delighted to be teaming up with the Mayhew Animal Home.

“They’ve been doing fantastic work in caring for and homing animals for over 100 years and we’re thrilled to be part of their work and hopefully will find Tallula and others like her a new home!”
