Isaac Healey scooped a place at the exclusive event through the Junior Gunners club
A Dollis Hill schoolboy became the envy of young Arsenal fans after winning a competition to camp out at the Gunners’ training ground.
Isaac Healey was one of 80 youngsters who scooped a place at the exclusive event through a contest run by the club’s young supporters’ scheme the Junior Gunners.
The 11-year-old was treated to a fun packed afternoon and night which started with a football session with Arsenal in the community coaches on the Gunners’ pristine training pitches.
He was then treated to a tour of the state-of-the-art facility and the behind the scenes look at the players’ changing rooms, the boot room and the rehab room, which houses a swimming pool with an adjustable floor!.
The exciting day ended with dinner in the players’ restaurant and a magic show, before heading for bed in a special Junior Gunner Gazebo set up on the training ground turf.
Sue Campbell, Arsenal’s head of events, said: “The camping on the pitch events have been brilliant fun since we first got them underway three years ago.
“This was the first year we held the event at the training ground and it was a great opportunity to give our young fans the chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at where the players prepare for games.
“This event is just one of the exclusive benefits members can enjoy throughout the season, and we’re proud to be able to provide a truly unique experience for them all.”
