Station will be more wheelchair and mobility scooter users-friendly

Transport bosses have announced today that a boarding ramp for wheelchair and mobility scooter users will be installed at Queen’s Park Station.

The station in Salusbury Road, which serves the Bakerloo and Overground Lines, is included in a list of 19 stations named by Transport for London (TfL).

The ramps are used to bridge the gap between platform and train at stations and will be introduced to all remaining step-free stations, where it’s feasible, and this summer.

Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, said: ‘’More boarding ramps and better signage, information and staff training, are concrete examples of our commitment to make the transport network as accessible as possible.”
