Neighbours of the Windmill Bar in Cricklewood have until the end of today to comment on plans to build flats over it.

Brian Mannion, the landlord of the Cricklewood Broadway pub, wants to change its use from hotel to residential through his company B&B Properties.

Plans submitted to Brent Council include nine self-contained flats and a three-storey rear extension. Regulars have no need to worry, though, as the pub will remain on the ground floor.

The Victorian pub dates back to the late 1800s.

Mr Mannion, is also landlord of The William IV pub in Harrow Road, Kensal Green and the Black Lion in Kilburn High Road.

To comment go to Brent Council’s planning portal.
