Armed officers have recovered a gun after stopping a car on the North Circular Road near Park Royal last night.
A man, aged 30, and a 21-year-old have been arrested following the discover y inside the vehicle that was pulled over near Abbey Road just before 10pm.
The officers were working on a proactive operation alongside detectives from the Met’s Trident and Area Crime Command and Transport Policing Command.
The pair are being questioned on suspicion of the illegal possession of a firearm at a police station in north London.
