A Willesden woman accused of sending cash and equipment to a jihadist fighter has denied funding terrorism.

Hana Gul Khan, 22, of Meyrick Road, is accused of teaming up with Anton Atkins, 30, from Woolwich, to send £2,700 between them to aid terrorism in June and July last year.

Atkins is also accused of sending a pair of combat trousers to an extremist fighter.

The pair appeared at the Old Bailey last week where they spoke only to confirm their names and enter not guilty pleas.

Khan denies two counts of making funds available for the purpose of terrorism between 14 June and 14 August 2013.

Atkins denies four counts of making funds and a pair of combat trousers available for the purpose of terrorism between 19 June and 13 July 2013.

They were released on bail and a trial date has been set for February 9 next year.

It is expected to last two weeks.
