A teenager from Willesden who was arrested at Luton Airport yesterday after returning from Turkey has been charged with terror offences.
Yahya Rashid, 19, was held by officers from the Met’s counter terrorism command after he arrived back in the UK from a flight from Istanbul.
Today he has been charged with preparing to commit an act of terrorism and assisting others to commit acts of terrorism.
Both offences are claimed to have been committed between November 1 last year and yesterday,
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.
