Wembley murder: Teenager stabbed to death and second man injured in street fight

A teenager who died after being attacked in a street in Wembley today was stabbed to death and a second man was left injured.
The 19-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene near Middlesex University student halls in Fulton Road shortly before 1.15am.
He is believed to be the first teenager to be murdered in the capital this year.
The second man, who is 20, suffered minor injuries in the attack.
Cordons are still in place on surrounding streets as forensics officers comb the area for evidence.

Carol Graham, 37, who lives in Tabriz Court in Fulton Road, said there has been trouble from students in the area since the halls opened last September.
She said: “It has been going on like this for a while now. Since they came it has been trouble.”

A resident living in a block of flats near the scene said he had been told the incident took place over a girl and involved three people attacking two men.
He added: “Since these students came there has been a problem.
“Before the students came it was quiet.”
A spokesman for Middlesex University, said: “We are fully cooperating with all relevant authorities on this matter.
“The University and Unite, who run the halls, are providing support for all staff and students affected.”
A post-mortem will take place in due course along with formal identification. Police are also in the process of informing his next of kin.
A man in his 20s who was arrested at the scene this morning has been released with no further action.
Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command are leading the investigation and enquiries are ongoing.
