The trial of a man accused of killing a mother-of-one from Cricklewood will start at the Old Bailey today.
Miles Donnelly, 34, is said to have stabbed and strangled Usha Patel, 44, at the flat she shared with her five-year-old autistic son in Melrose Avenue, on October 8.
Donnelly, who is also known as Miles Ryan, is also charged with causing actual bodily harm to Rosie Ferringo.
The trial starts at noon and is expected to last two weeks.
