Three men arrested for affray following a shooting in Wembley on Sunday morning have been released with no further action taken.

The men were held after a fight broke out as paramedics tried to take a man who had been shot in Grove Way to hospital.

The victim, who is in his mid 20s, was shot at around 4.30am.

He is in a serious condition but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

He is the FIFTH person to have been shot in Brent in a nine-day period.

Last week a violent-fuelled 48 hours resulted in four people being injured in two double shootings.

A man and a woman were shot in Hilltop Avenue, Stonebridge, on April 22 and two days later two men in their 20s were shot in Kingsbury Road, Kingsbury.

Last night police were called to reports of gunshots in Church Road, Harlesden, at 6.55pm.

Officers who attended the scene were unable to find an injured person or evidence that someone had been injured.

An investigation is underway to verify if a gun was fired in the street.

Officers from the Met’s Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating all the shootings.
