A teenager who appeared at court charged with raping a boy in Kingsbury has been remanded again ahead of his next court appearance.

The 13-year-old boy accused of raping a young boy in Roe Green Park last month has been remanded into secure accommodation for the second time following an appearance at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

He appeared at the same court on May 19 charged with one count of rape of a male under 13; one count of causing or inciting a child in to sexual activity and one count of kidnap.

Following that appearance he was remanded into secure accommodation and on June 5 was rebailed to appear for trial on July 12 at Willesden Youth Court.

Officers from the Met’s sexual offences, exploitation and child abuse command have been investigating the rape which happened in the wooded area near the junction with Kingsbury Road and Roe Green at around 9am on May 16.
