Detectives investigating the murder of a young mother as she celebrated her birthday in Kilburn have released video footage taken of her a week before she died.
Sabrina Moss, 24, from Neasden, was killed and her friend Sabrina Gachette, also 24, was injured after they were gunned down outside Woody Grill in Kilburn High Road on August 24 at around 4am.
Ms Moss has been out celebrating her birthday in Love & Liquor further up the road and had bought some food minutes before she was shot in the chest.
Investigating officers believe the two women were not the intended targets.
Today at 11am her grieving family and friends are holding a vigil at the scene where they are also making a one-week anniversary appeal for information leading to her killers.
DCI Andy Partridge of the Homicide and Major Crime Command said: “Sabrina Moss’s family and friends have been left heartbroken by what has happened and are struggling to come to terms with the loss. I urge anyone with any information no matter how small to come forward and help us.
“From the extensive enquiries that we have carried out we know that there were a number of people in Messina Avenue at the junction with Kilburn High Road shortly before the shooting and there is a possibility that they would have seen two men loitering close to some cars parked in Messina Avenue. The two males were wearing dark clothing and hooded tops, with one wearing a lighter coloured top than the other.
“I am appealing to anyone who remembers walking past these two people to come forward. You may not be aware of the significance of what you may have seen but let us decided whether the information you hold is key to this investigation.
“I am also urging those who may be harbouring or assisting anyone caught up in this incident to come and speak to us, we will treat your information in the strictest of confidence.”
Ms Moss, who worked in a nursery in Stonebridge, had moved into a new home in Neasden her four-year-old son and partner Arron a week before she died.
He said: “Sabrina was loved by everyone but for me and my son it was beyond love and words, she was our life.
“She was our world and now it’s empty and always will be for the rest of our lives.
“Sabrina and I went through so much together from a young age but we always used to tell each other no matter what happens we will build that perfect family for our son and for all her dreams to be taken away at such a young age kills me everyday.”
Echoing DCI Partridge’s appeal, Ms Moss’ heartbroken family said: “Sabrina was very fun loving and she had great plans for the future.
“She was very caring and would do anything for those she loved and cared about. She had a great sense of humour and we are going to miss every aspect of her honesty and her fun.
“It was her birthday and she was having a good time she did not deserve to die.
“I urge anyone to come forward with any information no matter how big or small it is.”
