Police and immigration officers carried out a swoop in Neasden yesterday following complaints about yobbish behaviour by Eastern European men.

One man was arrested on immigration matters during the operation in Neasden shopping centre.

A second man was served with immigration papers and five were given written notices ordering them to surrender at Eaton House immigration centre for further investigation.

Sergeant Matt Howard from Dudden Hill Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: “The operation is part of a long-term policing plan to eradicate crime and anti-social behaviour in the Neasden Lane area.

“Brent police will not tolerate crime and antis-social behaviour in the area and will continue intensive activity working with partners to sustain reductions.”
