MP Eric Joyce has today been charged with two counts of common assault and one count of criminal damage following an incident with a teenager in Camden.
The 54-year-old Falkirk MP, a former Labour politician, previously insisted that he was trying to detain the youth during the incident on October 17.
He will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on December 30.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said a 14-year-old boy who was arrested for possession of cannabis was later given a youth reprimand.
