A man who raped a woman in Wembley before claiming she was a prostitute who had consented to sex has been jailed for six years.
Waqas Ahmed, 26, of Grand Avenue, Wembley, attacked his 20-year-old victim in Tokyngton Recreation Ground on May 3 this year at around 2am.
After he was arrested he denied any wrongdoing but once he went to trial he claimed his victim was a sex worker who had agreed to intercourse.
He was convicted by a jury at Harrow Crown Court and jailed for six years.
He has also been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life and faces deportation on his release.
