A man from Neasden has been jailed for turning into his rented home into a cannabis factory.

Tuan Anh Ngygen, 44, grew the drugs in the loft and all three bedrooms in the house in Aylesbury Street.

More than 400 plants were seized when Brent Police acted on a tip-off and raided the property in March this year.

Last week at Harrow Crown Court he admitted the production of a controlled class B drug and was sentenced to 12 months.

Detective Superintendent Simon Rose said: “We will always act on information from the public and are grateful that we have been able to take out such a large quantity of drugs and keep them off our streets.”
