Ladbroke Blood Gang members from Harlesden and Kilburn jailed for drug dealing

Steve Mutesa, 19, of Rucklidge Avenue, and Cleveland Williamson, 22, of Mowbray Road, were members of the Ladbroke Blood Gang who operated from a drugs den in Wornington Road.

Isleworth Crown Court heard the seven men sold crack cocaine and heroin from the flat after they forcibly took it over last November.

All were arrested after police stormed the property and were found guilty of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

They had denied any wrong doing.

Mutesa was jailed for three years and six months and Williamson was sentenced to five years for the drug offence, a further six months for possession of a knife and six months for breaching his suspended sentence for a burglary.

He will serve his sentence consecutively.

Aimen Mawia, 19, was sentenced to five years and six months at a Young Offenders Institution (YOI), Jazz Reid, 21, was handed down five years, a 17-year-old boy was sentenced to four years at a YOI, 16-year-old boy was given an 18 month detention and training order and 17-year-old, who was acquitted of the drug offence but convicted of being in possession of a knew received a 12 month supervision order and will be on an electronically monitored curfew from 17pm to 7am.

All five are from the Ladbroke area.

DCI Rhys Willis, from Kensington and Chelsea Police, said: “The sentence of more than 25 years collectively for these individuals can only be a really positive step forward in the boroughs commitment to tackle criminal gangs.

“These gang members unlawfully took over someone’s property with the clear intention to deal crack cocaine to the wider community.

“We will as an organisation and with our partners offer diversion opportunities if however, young men refuse to engage and continue to commit criminal activity we will actively seek them out and bring them to justice.”
