Paul Foster, 46, who was gunned down on Tuesday, grew up in Brent

A man originally from Harlesden who was shot dead in Bedfordshire on Tuesday night was a married born again Christian with children.

Paul Foster, who was known as ‘Shinehead’ was shot in the chest just after midnight in the Lewsey Farm estate in Luton.

The 46-year-old, who moved out of Brent around 10 years ago, was rushed to hospital but died shortly after.

His murder is a second tragedy for the family after Mr Foster’s nine-year-old son Devante was killed in a collision in Luton while he was riding his bike in 2007.

Detectives investigating Mr Foster’s murder said he was injured at a separate address shortly before he was murdered, but they have refused to comment on speculation that he was assaulted at the property.

They are appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of a white transit-style van that was seen in the area around the time of the murder.
