A Harlesden man has today been found guilty of the kidnap, torture and murder of a drug dealer who owed an associate money.
Kamil Dreszer, 27, of Greenhill Park, was part of a gang who snatched Andrzej Kulesza from his friend’s house after forcing their way in at 4am on September 19, 2010.
The Old Bailey heard the 27-year-old was involved in dealing cannabis and amphetamines and was in debt to a man called Grzegorz Misiak.
Kulesza’s remains was found dumped in a field in Northamptonshire seven months later with a ligature around his neck.
Jurors heard after he was kidnapped evidence showed he was taken to an address in Greenhill Park where he was beaten with a metal bar, spat on and force-fed amphetamines and alcohol.
He was ordered to do press-ups and when he couldn’t was beaten again.
His girlfriend found out he had been kidnapped and she would need to pay a ransom after she calling friends and acquaintances querying his whereabouts.
She was called by her boyfriend who was crying and screaming while pleading with her to help him by paying his kidnappers.
She borrowed £300 from a friend and handed over the cash to another man at a rendezvous point in Edmonton but despite promises that Mr Kulesza would be released another demand for £500 was made before the calls abruptly ended.
The court heard Dreszer, Artur Janik, 27, from Woking, Daniel Kosowski, 40, from Newham, east London, and another man collected his body and travelled to Northants where it was dumped before they returned to London.
Dreszer was found guilty of murder, kidnapping, false imprisonment and preventing the lawful burial and disposal of a corpse.
Janik was convicted of manslaughter, kidnapping, false imprisonment and preventing the lawful burial and disposal of a corpse, and Kosowski was found guilty of preventing the lawful burial and disposal of a corpse.
All three will be sentenced tomorrow.
Misiak was arrested and bailed in connection with Andrzej’s murder but died in a car crash in Poland in July 2012.
He had been extradited to Poland on matters of extortion, fraud and assault.
