Detectives investigating the violent scenes that marred the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium have made further arrests in a series of dawn raids this morning.

Three men are being held in connection with the clash at the Milwall v Wigan Athletic match which left four police officers injured on April 13.

Millwall fans appeared to clash with each other shortly before half time and towards the end of their side’s 2-0 defeat.

A number of fans were shown on television cameras as they got into scuffles with police officers and with fellow supporters, many were left with blood on their faces.

Officers from Operation Arrowtip, the Met’s team that investigate football-related violence, issued images of 10 men they would like to speak to last week and today they have released a further 17 photos.

DCI Andy Barnes, senior investigating officer for Operation Arrowtip, said: “Large scale violence and disorder at football matches is completely unacceptable. People either attending matches expect to be able to do so in a safe and friendly environment.

“I would like to thank the media for their help so far. We have had an excellent response from the public, who have identified people in nine of the 10 images already released.

Some have since handed themselves in to police, and to date, we have arrested 26 people. Three have been charged.

“We continue to appeal to the public to help identify those responsible.

“The investigation team is working through many more calls and CCTV to identify all those involved in the disorder. We expect to make further arrests.

“Our message is clear. Violence at football is unacceptable. If you were involved in the violence come forward and speak with us. We will pursue all those responsible.”

Anyone who recognises someone in the images or has any information should call 020 8246 0076 (not 24 hours) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
