Detectives detain a man at an address in Wembley

A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Dollis Hill.

Luke Fitzpatrick was stabbed to death in Crest Road at the junction of Alder Grove, on Saturday night at round 11.30pm.

The 25-year-old roofer had been watching the Champions League final at the Ox and Gate pub in Oxgate Lane, shortly before he was killed.

His 56-year-old father Bernie was also knifed as he tried to save his son.

He is in hospital in a serious condition.

Detectives arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder at an address in Wembley last night (Monday).

He is currently in custody.

A 31-year-old man and two 17-year-olds who were arrested shortly after Mr Fitzpatrick was killed have been bailed to return to a police station later this month and in June.

Detectives investigating the killing believe a row erupted in the pub after the match between Chelsea and Bayner Munich which spilled out on the street.

However, it is also being speculated that the killing is the result of an argument between two drinkers and a group of men which took place at a cash point machine across the road from the pub during half time.

After the match a mob turned up at the pub brandishing weapons including a butcher’s knife.

A post mortem revealed Mr Fitzpatrick died from stab wounds.

DCI Tim Duffield, who is heading the murder hunt, said: “We urgently need to hear from anyone who was in or near the Ox and Gate pub around 11.30pm that evening.

“The pub was still very busy at that time, and we are confident that several people will have seen elements of what happened - we urge them to come forward and contact the incident room.”

Anyone with information should call the incident room on 020 8358 0400 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
