Officers carrying out vehicle stop searches in Kingsbury caught the driver ferrying large quantities of cannabis, cash and a metal baseball bat in the car boot.

The Met’s patrol team in Brent posted photos and a string of messages to social media site Twitter on Friday after carrying out drugs prevention operations in the Kingsbury area.

A man has been arrested and an uninsured car was seized.

The first of the messages said: “lots of cannabis and cash found, driver arrested #DrugDealing”.

Officers searching the car boot then made the surprise discovery of the bat and posted a picture with the caption:“spot the metal bat, found in boot. Good result!”
