The hunt is on to find a knife-wielding cyclist who left a motorist with serious head and facial injuries after attacking him outside Northwick Park Hospital.
The victim had dropped off his wife at the hospital in Watford Road, Sudbury, when he struck the cyclist at a ‘fairly high speed’ while looking for a parking space.
The cyclist, who fell off his bike, asked the driver to call an ambulance before an argument ignited between the pair.
During the row the cyclist pulled something out of his bag, punched the driver in his head and chased him with a knife.
He escaped on his pushbike.
The cyclist was a black man, aged between 28 - 35 years old, 5ft 10ins tall wearing a dark blue jacket and dark coloured trousers.
The attack took place on Monday, 27 January, at around 3pm.
DC Nicola Benson from Brent CID said: “This was a vicious attack involving a knife and I am appealing for any witnesses who was at the hospital on the day that witnessed the incident or if you know who the suspect is to call me.”
