A shoplifter who stole meat from a supermarket in Willesden before grabbing a broom as a weapon when challenged by staff has been jailed two days after the incident.
Christopher Crowe, 34 , of Watling Gardens, Cricklewood, admitted stealing from the store in Walm Lane and using the broom to hit a window in the shop last Saturday.
On Monday at Hendon Magistrates Court he pleaded guilty to theft and possession of an offensive and was sentenced to four weeks in prison.
