An elderly man from Cricklewood has been beaten up by a group of teenagers on a train after he asked them to stop throwing sweets at passengers.
The 72-year-old was punched in the face and kicked by the youths on a First Capital Connect train at St Pancras International station.
The victim was rushed to University College Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries and later discharged.
Today, officers from British Transport Police have released CCTV images of three males they would like to speak in connection with the attack on December 19 at 10.38am.
Sergeant Mike Boyce said: “This was an unprovoked and malicious attack, and the level of assault is shocking.
“Officers are now taking all steps in their power to identify those responsible.
“If you recognise the people pictured, or witnessed what took place, I would urge you to contact us immediately.”
A 15-year-old who was arrested at the scene has since been released.
