Police and Brent Council have carried out an operation targeting illegally parked cars on a service road in Cricklewood.

Enforcement officers from the town hall teamed up with Mapesbury Safer Neighbourhoods Team following complains from residents about the cars in Hassop Road.

The street is filled with car repair garages and workshops resulting in vehicles being left on double yellow lines for days at a time.

A total of 26 cars were issued with a parking fine and several were towed away last week

Sergeant Tim Vollrath from Mapesbury Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: “this operation signalled the start of projects to address issues in Hassop Road with the intention of finding a long term solution.”
