A Brondesbury Park man is accused of shoving his celebrity hairdresser partner into a glass door in a drunken assault, a court heard.
Steven Lafferty, 43, is due to stand trial accused of the domestic abuse of Anita Banga outside Beauty and Melody Salon in Great Cumberland Place, Marble Arch, in central London. It is alleged he shoved her face into an automatic glass door.
Lafferty, of Brondesbury Park, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday to plead not guilty to one count of assault by beating. He was granted conditional bail ahead of his trial at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on April 25. He was ordered not to contact Miss Banga, and cannot attend her salon or home address.
Miss Banga’s clients include Bond girl Olga Lurlylenko, Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding and Made in Chelsea’s Cheska Hull. The hair stylist specialised in wig-making and female hair loss, and her expertise was sought by TV presenter Gail Porter after she suffered from alopecia.
