Elderly man remanded in custody
An octogenarian from Brondesbury has appeared in court charged with murder.
Ezekiel McCarthy, 84 of Knightleas Court in Brondesbury Park, is accused of killing Desbert Welsh.
The body of the 50-year-old was discovered in McCarthy’s home on Saturday.
Yesterday (Monday), he appeared before Brent Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody to appear before the Old Bailey tomorrow (Wednesday).
