Brent Council has launched what appears to be a Grease-themed “zero-tolerance” campaign to stamp out anti-social behaviour and flytipping.

Operation Neighbourhood Patrols Summer Nights is targeting bad behaviour hotspots to crack down on issues that plague the community – including illegal rubbish dumping.

Lasting 14 weeks, the scheme runs until September 15 and sees uniformed council enforcement officers on the streets every weekend to deter crime.

Brent’s communities chief Cllr Tom Miller said: “This is just one example of the approach we are taking to deliver a safer and stronger Brent and we need everyone to pull together with us.

“We’re going to continue to work with our partners and the community to tackle the issues residents have told us they want to see prioritised, including violent crime, anti-social behaviour and enviro-crime.”
