A teenage mother who starved her four-month-old baby to death has been banned from entering Brent as part of her sentence.
The 19-year-old, who has not been named for legal reasons, admitted the manslaughter of the tot who died from severe acute malnutrition and dehydration last October.
She also admitted two counts of child cruelty in relation to the baby’s two siblings.
She was 18 and living in Mile End, east London, at the time of the death.
Today at Snaresbrook Crown Court she was sentenced to 18 months in jail suspended for two years for manslaughter, and nine months suspended for two years for each count of child cruelty.
She also handed a prohibition order preventing her from entering Brent, Tower Hamlets and Westminster, an order preventing her from supervising children under the age of 11 for two years and a two-year supervision and residence order.
