A teenager who appeared in court charged with rape has been remanded in secure accommodation ahead of his next court appearance.
The 13-year-old boy, from north London, who is accused of raping a teenage boy in Roe Green Park is being held while he awaits his next court appearance at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on June 5.
The defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on May 19 charged with one count of rape of a male under 13, one count of causing or inciting a child under 13 into sexual activity and one count of kidnap.
Police from the Met’s sexual offences, exploitation and child abuse command are investigating a rape in the wooded area near the junction with Kingsbury Road and Roe Green at around 9am on May 16.
They charged a 13-year-old boy the following day.
