Mr Hassan was found with stab wounds near Ainsworth House, Boundary Road on Thursday July 25, and he died in hospital less than an hour later.

An unnamed 22 year-old was also found with stab injuries to his leg, and this man remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Scotland Yard have appealed for witnesses to come forward with more information about the incident, and two others they are treating as related to Mr Hassan's death.

A post-mortem examination gave Mr Hassan's cause of death to be a stab wound to the chest.

The police were called to another incident in Lancefield Street, Queen's Park just after midnight that evening - there an unnamed 20 year-old was also found with a stab wound to the leg.

This man's condition was not life-threatening, and Scotland Yard said enquiries are continuing to establish the link between the two incidents.

Detectives are linking the fatal stabbing to fight that took place five hours earlier in the entrance to South Hampstead Rail Station in Loudon Road.

Several men were involved, but no-one is reported to have been seriously injured.

Det Ch Insp. Simon Stancombe is leading the investigation. He said: "In releasing Abdullahi's image we hope it may remind someone of seeing him or his killers' at the scene and that their information may help to bring justice for Abdullahi's family.

"Whilst I am appealing for any information, I am specifically keen to hear about what happened at the earlier altercation at South Hampstead station. It was during rush hour on the hottest day of the year. Were you in the area? Did you see the fight or hear what was happening?"

Police have arrested five men aged between 20 and 23 years on suspicion of attempted murder and charged one, Amil Choudhury with murder and attempted murder.

Choudhury next faces an October court hearing.
