Man dupes victims into accepting fake Euro currency
Detectives are hunting for a scammer who passes off counterfeit money after persuading women that he needs change for a taxi.
The crook struck twice in the Kilburn area on June 9 after duping his victims into giving him change for a 50 Euro note.
In the first incident in Fairhazel Gardens he told the 31-year-old he claimed to be related to her neighbour.
In the second, which happened in Greencroft Gardens, he claimed to be a neighbour of the victim.
The suspect is white and around 35.
Anyone with information is urged to call Camden Police on 0300 123 1212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
The Metropolitan Police Service has set up a website where anyone who believes they have been a victim of fraud can report the incident.
