Joseph Crowe targeted 17-year-old after he used ATM machine in Church Road

A robber who carried out a vicious attack on a teenage boy in Willesden has been jailed.

Joseph Crowe, 31, targeted the 17-year-old after he withdrew money from an ATM machine in Church Road at 12.45 am on March 28 this year.

As the victim walked away Crowe grabbed him in a headlock and punched him repeatedly in the face whilst demanding money.

The victim managed to escape but Crowe chased him across the road into Mayo Road where he punched him again and snatched £20.

Crowe was caught after a passing police vehicle saw him running away.

Crowe admitted robbery and was sentenced to five years in prison.

DC Natalie O’Farrell from Brent Police said: “I am pleased with the justice that has been served on this violent offender.

“The sentence reflects the seriousness of the robbery and I would like to thank the victim in this case for his courage and help with the investigation.”
