A teenager from Wembley behind 12 robberies has been sent to a young offender’s institution for targeting a 14-year-old schoolboy in Dollis Hill.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was part of a gang of youths who got on a 182 bus and punched the victim in his head in November last year.
After the terrified boy got off the bus to escape his attackers he was chased and had his coat and bag stolen.
The youth was identified through CCTV and subsequently charged with robbery.
Last week at Harrow Crown Court he admitted the charge and asked for another 11 robberies to be taken into consideration.
He was sentenced to three years.
