Paul Foster, who was known as Shinehead, was gunned down on Wednesday morning
Detectives investigating the murder of a Brent father in Bedfordshire have arrested two men.
Paul Foster, who was known as ‘Shinehead’ was shot dead in the Lewsey Farm estate in Luton, on Wednesday morning.
The 46-year-old married born-again Christian grew up in Harlesden and moved away around 10 year ago.
The first man, aged 21, from Luton, was arrested on suspicion of Mr Foster’s murder in the town.
A second man, aged 24, who is also from Luton, handed himself in to Luton Police Station yesterday afternoon.
Both were questioned by detectives from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit and released on bail pending further enquiries.
A post mortem carried out yesterday revealed Mr Foster died from a gunshot wound to his chest.
Detective Supt Jeff Hill, Head of the Major Crime Unit, said: “I would remind members of the public that although two men have been arrested in connection with this investigation there have been no charges at this time.
“This is still an ongoing investigation and I would make a strong appeal to anyone who has information relating to this inquiry to come forward and speak with detectives.
He added: “Remember we all need to work together to put a stop to this type of violence which has left Paul’s wife, children and family devastated.
“We know there are people in the community who have information who at this time have not come forward. Witness evidence is a key factor in this investigation so it is of paramount importance that anyone with even the slightest piece of information contacts the police. “
Anyone with information are urged to contact the incident room, in confidence on 01707 355959, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
