Two people have been jailed for 12 years after a machine gun was found behind a wardrobe in Cricklewood.

Bobbie Gordon and Sasha Langley pleaded guilty in late June, after police found the gun, along with a self-loading pistol, at a house in Gladstone Parade.

Both guns were behind the wardrobe in a rucksack, which also contained ammunition.

The Mac 10 machine pistol was examined by the Met’s forensic team, and was found to be a converted weapon.

Gordon and Langley were both charged with two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, and two counts of possessing ammunition without a certificate.

At Harrow Crown Court on July 5, Gordon, 22, of Gladstone Parade was sentenced to four years in prison.

Meanwhile Langley, 32, of Anglian Close, Watford, was sentenced to eight years and six months in prison.

Det Con Neil Kember, of the Met’s trident and area crime command, said: “The significant prison sentences handed to these defendants should act as a warning to anyone who is in possession of an illegal gun or involved in the storage of them. Even if you have only been asked to look after the weapon, if it is found in your address you will be arrested and prosecuted.”
