Detectives investigating the sexual assault of a 26-year-old woman in Kenton have arrested a teenager.

The 18-year-old was questioned by officers after the victim was approached from behind after getting off a bus, dragged to the back of some parked cars and assaulted in St Leonards Avenue.

Investigating officers believe she may have been targeted by passenger who was travelling on the H9 bus with her.

The arrested man has been bailed to return to a police station in December pending further enquiries.
