Youth, 16, from Mill Hill, is charged with murder, attempted murder, unlawful wounding and violent disorder

A teenager accused of stabbing a roofer to death in Dollis Hill after the Champions League final has appeared at the Old Bailey this morning (Tuesday).

The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reason, is said to have knifed Luke Fitzpatrick, 25, in Crest Road at the junction of Alder Grove, on May 19.

Mr Fitzpatrick’s 56-year-old father Bernard was also stabbed but survived.

The youth, from Mill Hill, appeared for a brief hearing, during which he spoke only to confirm his identity.

He was remanded in custody by the Recorder of London, Judge Peter Beaumont QC, ahead of a plea and case management hearing on September 6.

He has yet to enter pleas to charges of murder, attempted murder, unlawful wounding and violent disorder.

Christopher Walters, 23, of Lovett Way, Neasden, faces identical charges and will appear alongside the 16-year-old on September 6.

Two boys aged 15, a 16-year-old, two 17-year-olds, two 18-year-olds, and four men aged 19, 20, 25, and 31, have been bailed to return to a police station at a later date.
