Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a Spanish student in Willesden yesterday morning.

Investigating officers are questioning a 15 and a 17-year-old following the vicious attack outside Brondesbury Court in Willesden Lane, on Sunday at 12.35am.

The 30-year-old was slashed with a knife after he refused to hand over his rucksack to two men who had tried to steal it.

He received serious injuries and was taken a hospital in central London hospital where his condition is now stable but may be life-changing.

The boys were arrested on suspicion of GBH in the early hours this morning and are being held a police station in north London police station.

DC Fiona Davidson, from Brent CID, said: “This was a shockingly violent attack on a man who was simply attempting to prevent the robbery of his bag.

“I would urge anyone who saw what happened, or who has information about those responsible, to make contact with police.”

Anyone with information can call 020 8733 3709 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
