A nursery teacher who was gunned down while celebrating her birthday in Kilburn was killed by a man armed with a Mac 10 submachine gun and a shotgun, the Old Bailey heard today.

Sabrina Moss, 24, from Neasden, died after she was shot in the chest in Kilburn High Road in the early hours of August 24.

Her friend Sabrina Gachette, 24, was also shot during the incident and remains in hospital.

Two other men Mahad Ahmed and Edson Da Silva were also injured.

Detectives said they believe both women were innocent bystanders ‘in the wrong place at the wrong time.’

Ms Moss, who worked at Alice’s Wonderland nursery in Stonebridge, had moved into a new home with her partner Arron and their four-year-old son a week before she was killed.

Martell Ricco Warren, 22, of Napier Road, Kensal Green, is charged with the murder of Sabrina Moss and three counts of attempted murder relating to Sabrina Gachette and the two other men.

He is also charged with two counts of possession of a firearm relating to the Mac 10 submachine gun and a shotgun.

Today at the Old Bailey he appeared by video link from prison for a bail decision and preliminary hearing.

No bail application was made and he was remanded in custody by Judge John Bevan QC.

Prosecutor Julian Evans said: “Mr Warren is charged with six matters in relation to the incident. Two firearms were discharged at the scene, the first a Mac 10 machine gun and the second a shotgun.”

Warren, whose address was previously given as being in Hillingdon, will return to court for a plea and case management hearing on November 19.
