Police are seeking a man who racially abused a mother and her child on a bus in Wembley.

The 49-year-old woman and her 11-year-old son boarded a southbound Number 18 bus in Wembley at about 5.20pm on June 16.

While on board the bus, a man, who had got on at the same stop, become abusive towards her and the boy.

A police spokesperson said: “Over a period of around ten minutes, the man verbally abused the pair, using extremely abusive language and racial slurs.”

Officers have circulated an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the attack.

They are asking the public to help or for the man himself to come forward.
