Man charged with attempted murder of woman in Willesden

A man has been charged with attempting to murder a woman in Willesden.

Lucas Pereira, 23, from Cranhurst Road, appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on January 12, charged with attempted murder and assault causing grievous bodily harm.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition, police said.

The charges relate to an incident which happened in Cranhurst Road on the evening of January 10.

Pereira has been remanded in custody to appear at Harrow Crown Court at a later date.
