Man attempts to abduct schoolgirl in Neasden

The hunt is on to find a man who attempted to abduct a girl near a primary school in Neasden.

The suspect approached the girl on Brentfield Road as she made her way to Mitchell Brook Primary School in Bridge Road, on Friday at 8.25am.

He pulled up in a five-door Mercedes and asked her a question but drove off after she ignored him.

When she walked past him further up the road he got out of his car and tried to grab her arm.

The girl hit him and ran away.

She escaped any physical injury but was shaken up.

The suspect is ablack, aged between 30-40 years-old and at the time he was wearing a black polo top with a logo on it.

A spokesman for Brent Police confirmed they are investigating an allegation of an attempted abduction and are working closely with Mitchell Brook Primary School.

The school has sent a letter to all parents informing them of the incident.
