Man, 59, charged with attempted murder of a female police officer in Kingsbury

A 59-year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder of a female police officer in Kingsbury on Friday.

Nelson Jab Nazarene, 59, of Elmwood Crescent, Kingsbury, is accused of five offences including one of attempted murder, three counts of attempted grievous bodily harm and one count of making threats to kill.

The offences are relating to an incident in Elmwood Crescent where the police officer was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver.

Last week Nazarene appeared at Hendon Magistrates’ Court and he was remanded in custody to appear at Harrow Crown Court at a later date.
