Loghin Alexandru, from East Ham, broke into the address in St Mary’s Road
A lodger who burgled a property in Harlesden two days after moving out has been sent to jail.
Loghin Alexandru, from East Ham, east London, broke into the address in St Mary’s Road where he stole a mobile phone in November last year.
He fled the scene and police were unable to locate his whereabouts.
He was caught last week when he was stopped by British Transport Police for behaving suspiciously and checks ascertained he was wanted in connection with the burglary.
He admitted burglary and was jailed for 20 weeks at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
PC Pankaj Patel from Brent Police said: “We are pleased that a Loghin has received a sentence proportionate with his actions.
“I encourage anyone with any information on any criminal activity to contact us and help us make our streets safer.”
