Daniel Bidace, 30, shot Dothan Gordon after forcing him to kneel in his living room

A drug dealer who executed a Kensal Green man and shot his disabled fiancée in a failed bid to stop her identifying him was jailed for at least 42 years today.

Daniel Bidace, 30, forced 32-year-old Dothan Gordon to kneel in his own living room before carrying out a ‘cold-blooded, deliberate’ killing on June 20 last year.

The Old Bailey heard he then went upstairs to shoot Mr Gordon’s partner, Amy Ashitey, a wheelchair-bound paraplegic, but his gun jammed.

The 28-year-old survived a wound to the shoulder and was able to tell police she recognised the shooter as a man called ‘Indian’ – Bidace’s nickname.

The couple, who had two daughters aged two and six at the time of his death, were due to get married in Ireland two months later.

The Old Bailey heard Mr Gordon, a music promoter known as ‘Sonny’, had been involved in trying to set up a £100,000 drug deal in the days before his death.

At around midday on the fateful day Bidace, carrying a rucksack, arrived at his victim’s flat.

Bidace, who has previous convictions for drug offences, claimed he was out walking his dog Zeus at the time but CCTV caught him on his Yamaha R1 with a distinctive red and white paint scheme travelling to and from the crime scene in Ealing.

He said he went on the run because of Mr Gordon’s connections with the notorious ‘Mus Love Crew’ gang from Kensal Green.

Bidace was convicted of murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life yesterday.

Judge Timothy Pontius jailed him for life with a minimum term of 42 years.

He was also handed sentences of 36 years for the attempted murder and 15 years for the firearms charge, to run concurrently.
