Kenton couple accused of forcing trafficked teenager into prostitution

A Romanian couple from Kenton have been accused of forcing a teenager into prostitution after luring her to the UK with the promise of babysitting job.

Marius Ciubotariu, 30, and his wife Andreea, 26, of Magnolia Court, are charged with four and two counts of rape, respectively; trafficking into and within the UK for sexual exploitation and controlling prostitution.

Marius has also been charged with possessing false documents with intent.

Their arrested follows an investigation by the Metropolitan Police’s Human Trafficking and Kidnap Unit.

They will both appear in custody at Hendon Magistrates’ Court today.
