A drug dealer from Kensal Green who continued selling heroin and crack cocaine whilst on bail has been sent to jail.
Rakheed Daniel, 20, of St Margarets Road, came to the attention of the police when he was caught smoking drugs in nearby Hazel Road in September last year.
He was arrested after being found in possession of crack cocaine and heroin during a search and bailed.
The following month he was spotting acting suspiciously and throwing a large bag into a bin in Hazel Road by officers.
A search of the bin uncovered a large quantity of crack and heroin which he denied had anything to do with him.
However fingerprints found on the bag and evidence was recovered from several mobile phones he had which linked him to drug supply in and around the NW10 area.
Last week at Harrow Crown Court he admitted four counts of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and one count of possession of cannabis.
He was jailed for two years and eight months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £120.
DC Paul Connelly, investigating officer, said: “Daniel is a gang member whose drug supply has blighted Kensal Green for too long.
He has shown no remorse for his crimes and this sentence clearly reflects his actions. Despite being caught once, Daniel continued dealing drugs and were it not for the fantastic work of the Safer Neighbourhoods Teams could have got away with it. Technology has moved on and Brent police will use all available resources to bring offenders to justice.”
