Two suspected joyriders came to a crashing halt outside a Kilburn church.

Police were called to St Mary’s Church in Abbey Road just before 2pm today after a Mercedes car spun out of control landing on its roof.

Two people were taken by ambulance to the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead.

A police spokesman said: “Two people were arrested for taking a vehicle without consent.”
